Ambassador Bálint Ódor hosted a reception to mark the 60th anniversary of the Revolution of 1956 at the Museum of Canadian History on October 24.
On the occasion of the commemoration of 1956, Ambassador Bálint Ódor unveiled the plaque of 1956 at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 in Halifax.
At the October 24th session of the House of Commons all three political groups commemorated the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight. Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and his delegation participated in the session along with Ambassador Bálint Ódor.
The Canadian Hungarian Heritage Association organized the Hungarian Cultural Days from October 24th to 30th 2016.
Canada’s Cold War Museum presents two Hungarian exhibitions related to the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight from November 3rd to December 31st 2016.
