The Canadian Hungarian Heritage Association organized the Hungarian Cultural Days from October 24th to 30th 2016. István Jakab, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Péter Hoppál, State Secretary, Éva Borókay-Vajdovits, Deputy State Secretary, Péter Szilágyi, Deputy State Secretary, Gábor Borókai, chief editor of the Heti Válasz and Ambassador Bálint Ódor participated as guests.

On October 26th Ambassador Bálint Ódor held a reception on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight followed by the concert of the Csík band. During the cultural days a series of cultural events were held, such as a classical music concert, Canada’s first Zsolnay porcelain exhibition, a gastronomy and wine tasting festival with Canada’s first Master Sommelier John Szabo, film screenings, performances of the Csillagszeműek Children’s Folk Dance Ensemble and the 49th Csárdás Ball.
