Consulat district of the Embassy of Hungary: The national capital of Ottawa from Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut.

If you are located within the consular district of the Toronto Consulate General, or Montreal Consulate General or Vancouver Vice Consulate  please do not inquire at the Ottawa Embassy in consular matters.

In certain cases (helping Hungarian citizens in peril, authenticating signatures and copies, passport applications of children under the age of 12) Hungary's honorary consuls may also offer assistance.

Hours

Except for urgent consular cases (e.g. detention, death, emergency passport) we respond to telephone inquiries only on Monday and Thursday between 14:00-16:00 pm.

Consular office accepts clients by appointment only during the following times:

Thursday        9AM to 12PM

Summer time (from March to July) is a busy visa period. You are invited to try reservation again later if no open slot is available.

Booking made on test site of konzinfo (konzinfobookingtest) will not be considered valid and hence the client will not be received.

​Other services apart from the one(s) booked will not be provided. Please always bring downloaded and completed forms, all attachments, and valid photo IDs. All consular fees are payable by debit/credit card only. We do not accept either cash or cheques.

The consulate is closed on Hungarian and Ontario bank holidays. Should we be unavailable on other dates, we will announce it under the News section of the webpage.
