State Secretary Csaba Latorcai visited Canada on March 9-11. Mr. Latorcai started his 3 days visit in Esterhazy and Kaposvar SK, the first Hungarian settlement in Canada. On March 9 the State Secretary met with MP Cathay Waganthall and Mr. Grant Foster, the Mayor of Esterhazy. In the first half of the 20th century, the Kaposvar church, rectory and cemetery formed the spiritual and communal centre of Hungarian Catholic settlement in Canada. On March 10 State Secretary Csaba Latorcai visited the first Hungarian-built reformed church in Canada, the Bekevar Church and participated in a bilingual English-Hungarian worship along with Gene Makowsky Cultural Minister and Stephen Bonk Agricultural Minister of Saskatchewan, Ambassador Bálint Ódor and Anna Szenthe, Canadian president of the Diaspora Council.
